Ms. Asher has practiced Family Law since 1987, after graduating Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in Houston. She has served as President of the Association of Women Attorneys and as Associate Municipal Judge for the City of Houston.
She started her career in law and justice as a Victim Witness Coordinator with the Harris County District Attorney's Office. Her experience with the DA's office, and later as a Harris County Probation Officer, motivated Ms. Asher to seek her law degree. She completed her studies while still employed full time, graduated with honors and passed the Bar on her first test.
She represents her clients with that same determination, sense of justice and commitment to preparation.
From 1992 through 2005, Houston mayors appointed her as an Associate Judge of the City of Houston Municipal Court, a position subject to City Council confirmation. Ms. Asher carries the high ethical standards expected of Judges into every facet of her practice.
A skilled negotiator, Ms. Asher concentrates on reaching confidential agreements prior to trial, to preserve the privacy and dignity of her clients.
Committed to the community, Ms. Asher's volunteer activities include the Volunteer Lawyer program of the Houston Bar Association and support of area animal shelters. She helped found and serves as the Executive Director of Rescue Bank, a "food bank" non-profit supplying pet food, supplies and spay-neuter assistance to animal rescue groups in the Gulf Coast area.

My twin sister, a Methodist minister, and I were raised to believe that an education and a satisfying career were priveleges to be earned. I have worked hard for my standing in Houston's Family Law community and look forward to working hard for you.
